DIRECTOR & CAST:  Soffio al cuore (Le souffle au cœur) è un film del 1971 scritto, prodotto e diretto da Louis Malle ed interpretato da Lea Massari, Benoît Ferreux e Daniel Gélin. Semi-autobiografico, il film racconta la storia di formazione di un ragazzo quattordicenne cresciuto, nel secondo dopoguerra, in un ambiente borghese di Digione, in Francia, e del suo complesso rapporto con la madre di origine italiana.

Il film è stato proiettato al Festival di Cannes 1971 ed è stato un successo al botteghino in Francia. Negli Stati Uniti ha ricevuto recensioni positive ed ha ottenuto una nomination all'Oscar alla miglior sceneggiatura originale.
